Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for the uCinema platform operated by uCinema, LLC. It supplements our Terms of Service. If you have any billing question, email support@ucinema.com.
1. What you pay
- Activation fee: a one-time fee of $149 USD, charged when you activate your store after evaluating your free demo.
- Annual subscription: $100 USD per year, which renews automatically at the end of each annual term unless you cancel first.
- Marketing Hub add-on: starts with a 14-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid add-on at the price communicated to you before or during the trial.
- Third-party charges: advertising spend (Meta, Google, TikTok), WhatsApp conversation fees, payment processing fees (Stripe, ATH Móvil), and shipping label costs (Shippo) are charged by those providers directly to your connected accounts. They are not uCinema fees, and uCinema cannot refund them.
2. Free demo before you pay
We build your store demo before you pay anything. You only pay the activation fee once you decide to launch. We encourage you to fully evaluate the demo before activating — and your first payment is still protected by the 30-day money-back guarantee below.
3. 30-day money-back guarantee on your first payment
Your first payment as a new customer — the $149 activation fee plus your first $100 annual subscription — is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee:
- If you are not satisfied for any reason, request a refund within 30 days of activation and we will refund your first payment in full. No questions asked beyond what we need to process the refund.
- If we fail to deliver your activated store in working condition, you are entitled to a full refund regardless of the guarantee window.
- After 30 days from activation, the first payment is generally non-refundable once the store is live and functioning as described; requests are evaluated case by case.
The guarantee applies once per customer, to the first payment only. Renewals are covered by section 4.
4. Annual renewal refunds
- Cancel any time: cancelling stops the next automatic renewal. Your subscription remains active until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Unused renewals: if a renewal charge is processed and you request cancellation within 14 days of the renewal date without having materially used the service in the new term, we will refund the renewal fee in full.
- After 14 days from the renewal date, renewal fees are non-refundable, but you may still cancel to prevent future renewals.
5. Marketing Hub add-on
- Cancel during the 14-day free trial and you will not be charged.
- After the trial converts to a paid add-on, you may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period for the add-on, and fees already charged are non-refundable except where required by law or in the case of a verified billing error.
6. Billing errors and duplicate charges
If you believe you were charged in error (wrong amount, duplicate charge, charge after a confirmed cancellation), contact us within 60 days of the charge. Verified billing errors are refunded in full to the original payment method.
7. How to cancel or request a refund
- Email support@ucinema.com from the email address on your account (or use the cancellation option in your dashboard, when available).
- Include your store name or domain and, for refunds, the charge date and amount.
- We acknowledge requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days; your bank may take additional time to post the credit.
8. Effect of cancellation
When your subscription ends (after cancellation or non-renewal):
- Your store and custom domain stop being served.
- Connected integrations are disconnected and stored OAuth tokens are invalidated.
- You may request an export of your product and order data within 30 days, after which data is deleted per our Privacy Policy.
9. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback — most billing issues can be resolved quickly by our team. We reserve the right to suspend accounts with abusive or fraudulent chargeback activity.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified to active merchants by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect and will not retroactively reduce refund rights for charges already made.
